2. Determine the starting power of the appliances: As the instantaneous starting current of electrical appliances increases, the starting power increases. The judging standard of starting power is as follows:
Power of common appliances (lights, TVs, etc.) = starting power
Power of heating appliance (resistance wire heating appliance) *1.3= starting power
Power of inductive electrical appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.) *2.5= starting power
Power of engineering appliances (air compressor, water pump, mixer, etc.) *3= starting power
3. Selection of generator power:
When selecting a generator, the starting power of the electrical appliance should be followed. That is, the generator power ≥ starting power. For overload capacity of the generator, it can be started as long as the overload capacity power ≥ the maximum power of diesel engine ≥ the starting power of electric appliances. In practical use, due to the different quality of electrical appliances, the frequency of starting is different, the number of generator overload is also different. Long-term repeated overloads can affect the service life of generators. Therefore, the generator should be fully adapted according to the maximum power of the electrical appliances, so as to avoid the situation that cannot be started at the critical moment due to overuse.
4. Selection of copper alternator:
The generator set should be made of copper alternator, that is, the rotor of the alternator should be made of copper, rather than copper wire wrapped with aluminum wire. Copper and aluminum have different resistivities, with aluminum has a higher resistivity than copper. This causes the aluminum wire to generate more heat during use, which can easily burn out the alternator. In addition, aluminum and copper welds do not fit together naturally, and the connection points of the power lines are easy to burn out, resulting in a much shorter life for aluminum alternator than for pure copper one. Pure copper generators are more energy efficient. The resistance of the circuit components is proportional to the heat generated; the higher the resistance, the more heat is generated. The resistance of pure copper wire is lower than that of aluminum wire, which results in lower heat and more stable current. High resistance of aluminum wire leads to low power conversion coefficient, high fuel consumption.
5. Selection of generator set self-starting device:
Generator set starting device replaces the operation of engine and generator, and completes the control of the whole set through the operation of control cabinet. After selecting the starting device, it can avoid the damage to the machine caused by improper operation personnel, which will affect the normal use. Maintenance of machinery will increase the cost of use. The whole silent generator is in the canopy, so it must install the starting device to control.
6. Selection of silent canopy: silent canopy has the function of noise reduction, rain proof, dust proof and sun protection. Whether to choose silent canopy should be decided according to actual use circumstances. When the site environment is windy, sandy or cannot build a rain shelter, silent type should be selected to extend the service life and avoid unnecessary economic losses. When the generator sets are used in the city, the silent type should be used to reduce the noise pollution generated during operation.
7. Selection of ATS: ATS is an automatic starting device for power failure. It is suitable for use in places where the power supply needs to be maintained for 24 hours or unattended places.
